Will different surfaces affect the distance a toy car will travel?

We are investigating forces this term and carried out an experiment to test whether four different surfaces would affect the distance that a toy car could travel. The results were varied but all agreed that a smooth surface would allow the car to travel further than an uneven or rough surface. They worked well in small teams and used their measuring skills from last half term to measure the distance travelled in metres and centimetres. Well done Y3.
