Year 5
What we love about Year 5 is learning a wide range of new things and being challenged to learn even more!
We are enthusiastic readers and our classroom has a lovely selection of books for us to enjoy. We love learning new vocabulary and we have it displayed on our boards along with lots of information that helps us with our learning.
We are encouraged to be independent learners and have a positive attitude helping us to challenge ourselves as we move from year 4 to year 6. Mrs Jeary and Mrs Niven are particularly passionate about the STEM subjects - you will have to ask us what that means if you are unsure.
Day of Calm in Year Five!
The Year Five’s have been fortunate to have a ‘mindfulness’ workshop with Suzi, this afternoon. Suzi showed us techniques to help us with our inner calm, including rainbow breathing, finger breathing and some amazing Tai Chi moves (which required lots of serious concentration)!
