Year 4
Welcome to Year 4!
When you come into our Year 4 classroom you will be greeted warmly with friendly and welcoming smiles.
We have two teachers: Mrs Pickhaver and Mrs Niven. We also have Miss Wood to support us with our learning.
We have a busy, purposeful classroom, filled with resources such as atlases, dictionaries, maths equipment and working walls, which all help us to learn. We are learning to love a challenge and we all love using the chromebooks each week too!
We also have a wonderful calm space where we can be peaceful and take time to reflect. Here we can lounge on comfortable yellow cushions or sit together on the rugs to explore a wide range of interesting fiction books, non-fiction books and poetry.
Each week we can earn dojos or a certificate for showing improved work, having a good attitude to learning or for demonstrating kindness to others. We also follow our school values of compassion, friendship, perseverance, forgiveness, responsibility and trust.
Year 4 History and Geography
Year 4 worked really hard this afternoon to produce a double page spread about Egypt. We have learnt about Egypt in our History and Geography lessons over this last term. They have included lots of facts and thought about their presentation. Great work Year 4!
Playground Games
Year 4 had a great time learning some playground games with Mr Massey today. With the help of our playground leaders, we are going to play these games at break times and lunchtimes.
Year 4 World Book Day
We had a great time yesterday for World Book Day and dressed up as an adjective. We also decorated a potato as a book character. We love to read books in Year Four.
