Year 3’s Design Technology focus this half term, was on learning to sew and making a Christmas decoration using these new skills. The children were resilient and persevered with using the blanket stitch to sew the two parts of the stocking together and then straight stitch to sew on their chosen appliqués. They all did an amazing job and picked it up incredibly quickly. The final product was evaluated which allowed them the chance to reflect on what they had produced and think of ways to improve it.

I hope that they all find a wonderful place to display their lovely decoration.
