Year 3 enjoyed an afternoon of art and explored using charcoal. We first looked at an artist called Henry Moore. We looked carefully at his abstract art and sculptures and discovered that he used shapes to represent people. He also left his sculptures without features. The children then took it in turns in their pairs to pose and draw each other using the charcoal adding shading too where appropriate. They were inspired by Henry Moore and came up with some brilliant art during the afternoon.
